Sunday 31 January - Latest Images: WebEd - Hopping Hell! Sadly no game and no photos this weekend! My chosen match at Corby is called off just five minutes before the 2pm kick-off and my back up game goes the same way an hour later...Ramblings report to follow shortly!

Sunday 31 January - TT No.149: Chris Freer - 'I’ve seen a bit of debate on forums about the various criteria hoppers use to determine a new ‘tick’ on the list...'. With fixtures falling foul of the bad weather in and around Edingburgh, our roving reporter makes the late decision to watch the East of Scotland League Premier Division fixture at Civil Service Strollers (v Spartans)...but there is a real groundhopping dilemna here... read his superb report to find out more...it's another classy write up!

Sunday 31 January - TT No.148: Justin Holmes - 'The ground is perfectly adequate, although it would benefit from some tidying up. Plus points for having some character though'. For the third week in a row Justin misses out on his first choice game and sees loads of goals. Read his report from a visit to Ramsgate (v Sittingbourne) in a Ryman League Division 1 South fixture played yesterday...also includes some superb matchday photos...as always it's a cracking read!

Sunday 31 January - TT No.147: Andy Gallon - 'Hemmed in by houses, the physical constraints of the parcel of land on which Highbury is built have made compromises inevitable during the revamp. It's an awkward conversion - an aesthetic mish-mash'. Our leading corespondent heads over to Lancashire for the Blue Square North fixture at Fleetwood Town (v Hinckley United) played yesterday...as always Andy's report contains the very best matchday photos...not to be missed!

Sunday 31 January - Latest Images: Andy Gallon - Just added to the NEW User Uploads Album for January 2010! Andy brings us the very best photos from Shawbridge, home of Clitheroe Football Club (Unibond League Division 1 North) taken yesterday. You'll really love the panoramic shots...as Andy explains: '...these were taken from the castle raparts with stunnining views over the Pendle Hills in the distance...'

Sunday 31 January - Latest Images: Gary Spooner - Diese Fotos von Munchen sind absolut genial! Check out some of the best ground, action and matchday pictures ever to appear on FGIF as Gary takes in the Bundesliga 1 fixture at the Allianz Staium between Bayern Munich and played yesterday...now added to the NEW User Uploads Album for January 2010...you'll be impressed!

as Gary writes: 'Problems with the snow yesterday.  Not the heavy snow that had fallen in Munich all week and again yesterday but the light overnight fall in Cambridgeshire which nearly made me miss my flight from Stansted!  (The A14 being shut was not very helpful either).

Once in Munich everything ran smoothly.  Despite the heavy snow and temperatures well below freezing (which would have meant game off in England) there was no danger of a postponement.

The stadium was as impressive as I had imagined.  Bayern made much of the fact that this was the 100th consecutive 69,000 sell out crowd but the snow had obviously hampered some of the locals.  Despite all the tickets being sold there were still a few thousand empty seats visible around the stadium.

The game itself was not great.  The first half was notable only for a penalty miss by Bayern keeper Butt.  His opposite number pulled off a fine save which saw Butt rapidly scrambling back to his own goal.  The second half was then livened up by heavy snow.  At one point a posse of groundstaff  were sent on to remark the lines.  Much merriment in the crowd as two of them went flying in the process.  The elderly German gentleman sat next to me stated quite vociferously that it was not fit to play football in when the score was still 0-0 but there was no chance the game was going to be abandoned!  I suspect his opinion changed after Bayern scored 3 times to cruise to an easy victory.

Exiting the stadium with the happy throngs gave me my first opportunity to the view the stadium all lit up which was a fantastic sight.

My fears about getting home were unfounded and a problem free trip saw me arrive home 20 hours after setting off.  It was a superb day!'

Sunday 17 January - Voucher Codes - Fulham FC: Nick Barber - writes: 'Hi Martin, I only recently came across the site..it’s a great resource and I wanted to drop you a quick note from VoucherCodes.co.uk (we’re a money saving website). Though I’m an Evertonian, I’m happy to say there has just been released a 50% off printable voucher for the Fulham v Burnley game (06/02/10). I think it should be an interesting match as they’ve just got Okaka from Roma who is meant to be showing a lot of promise.

We’ve been given permission to put it up at http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/fulhamfc.com These sort of vouchers are quite exclusive at the moment so I thought it might be worth mentioning in a post for your readers? It will be popular with their fans and at that price general football fans around London at that time as it makes the game just £15. It would be great if it was supported as it could lead to more clubs releasing such vouchers.Let me know your thoughts..Thanks'.

Thursday 7 January - URGENT FIXTURE INFO: Steve Ayre - writes:

'Potential game on SATURDAY 9th JANUARY 2010 taken from the Leamington Website and one would presume a new ground for most'

"The website will be updated early on Friday afternoon with the result of the pitch inspection. The predicted weather forecast means that there is virtually no likelihood of the fixture going ahead (Leamington v Stourbridge).

With Paul Holleran and his management team anxious to keep the players fit and match-sharp, in the event of the fixture being postponed, provisional arrangements have been made for a competitive friendly match against Atherstone Town to be played on the 3G All Weather Pitch at the Rawlett Community Sports College, Comberford Road, Tamworth B79 9AA.

The facility has been booked from 12 noon to 2pm. Kick off will be approximately 12.15pm and spectators are welcome although they will not be able to gain access until 12 noon. Their is a substantial barriered viewing area with standing for spectators within the fenced off pitch. Toilet and refreshment facilities are available. Spectators should park at the front of the College and walk to the rear of the College where the pitch is located. A nominal charge of £3 Adults, £2 Concessions will be made to help cover the cost of pitch hire and match officials.

Manager Paul Holleran said, "We are treating this as a competitive match as we need to get the players into good habits for when we resume league fixtures. We have one or two players with slight niggles and they won't be risked. We have managed to get good training facilities over the last 4 weeks but I wanted a match with a competitive edge that would assist the integration of the new players and increase the competition within the squad. Atherstone are a much changed team under the management of Darren Fulford and Dave Haywood and should provide us with exactly what we need."
