Future Hop Plans (2009-2011) Hi all, Thought I'd send you a little New Years's  gift - our future plans for 2009 and beyond. 2009:   First of all, the CML Hop will be on 13/14 March. Friday night will be at Rolls Royce, Saturday will see games at Bulwell Town, Kirkby Town, Forest Town, and Clipstone Welfare. The CML is truncated this year due to the League vacating the Easter period for the SW Peninsula League. Talking of whom....Phil Hiscox has put together a fantastic Easter weekend for us. Maundy Thursday evening will be at Clyst Rovers (my all time favourite ground!!), with Friday at Axminster, Royal Marines and Exmouth. Saturday's games are at Galmpton, Liverton, and Buckland. The SWPL Hop runs from 9 to 11 April.   There is no Welsh "Hop Up" this year, as it is simply not required!   I have heard nothing about any Shropshire Hop day, so have no idea if it will run or not. It will be very close to the SWPL Hop if it does.   Sweden will run in June, although at this time we have no dates or fixtures to tell you about.   The next Welsh Hop will be run again in conjunction with the Hellenic over the August Bank Holiday (28 - 31 August). This year we are a week later, so no clash with the FAW Trophy!! Friday will see us visit Ynysddu Crusaders, with the four clubs that I would like to do on the Saturday being the four remaining SWAL grounds - Penarth, Rhoose, Cardiff Draconians, Ferndale BC. Let's hope that pans out!! The Hellenic will be based in the East of the region as we need to concentrate on Div 1 East. Expect an early start on the Sunday!! This year, I have asked Brian if he can fit an extra game in on the Monday, giving us a 12 game weekend. This is still at the discussion stage!!   Three weeks later - 19/20 September - we have Dorset's replacement - the Gloucestershire County League. I have given the League a plan to run six games over the weekend - four on Saturday, and two on Sunday. That will give an early finish on the Sunday in order to travel home (remember this is NOT a holiday weekend), and for the same reason we will not be scheduling any Friday night games on this Hop. I would hope to complete this League in two, maybe three seasons, with a return to Dorset (for any new clubs in the DPL and the still outstanding Portland United) in 2011.   2010:   CML Hop in March, Friday night game and four on Saturday. Date TBA   Easter SWPL Hop - games to include Bovey Tracey, Camelford, Dobwalls, Witheridge, Okehampton, Elburton Villa (venues already confirmed by SWPL)   August Bank Holiday: Welsh/Hellenic 2010; Welsh hop to include any new clubs in SWAL for 2009 and 2010; Hellenic TBA   Mid September (usually four weeks after Welsh/Hellenic): Gloucestershire Hop   2011:   Probable CML Hop in March SWPL Hop at Easter - probable venues Foxhole, Hayle, Godolphin, Mousehole, Wendron plus two others  Welsh/Hellenic at August Bank Holiday - Wales to probably be in new location (TBA), depends what Leagues are up for the idea! I'm not ruling anything out at the moment, not even North Wales. Going for a lie down now......
