Second Dorset Premier League Groundhop

22 – 23 September 2006

Dear all

The second Dorset Premier League Groundhop will take place on the weekend of 22 & 23 September 2006. As in 2005, the Hop will feature four matches from the Dorset Premier League.

We kick off at 7.30pm on Friday evening with a trip to Days Park, home of Swanage Town and Herston. On Saturday, we feature three matches, starting at the Bournemouth Sports Club (11am), followed by a trip to Hamworthy Recreation (2pm). The hop rounds off with reigning Champions Holt United at their Petersham Lane ground.

All the usual Hop arrangements will be in place, including advance tickets, coach travel, and hotel accommodation. At the moment, hotel bookings can only be made when booking coach travel. It is ESSENTIAL that you check availability of your choice BEFORE booking. (Those that have made provisional bookings have your choice already reserved.)

Match tickets are available in advance, and are priced at just £12. This gives admission and programmes for all four Dorset Premier League matches. As a thank you, a £2 discount will be offered to coach users.

This time, we are experimenting with electronic booking – you may complete a form electronically and email it to me, or alternatively just contact me with your choice of options. Unfortunately that does mean that you have to mail me a cheque, but as we’ll include the tickets in your Hop pack (along with all your programmes!), you don’t need to send me an SAE. Everything you will need can then be collected on the Friday at Swanage (or when you arrive on the Saturday). Just in case you’re wondering about directions, we will email them to anyone who books that requests them (if you’re one of the few not on email, you’ll have to enclose an SAE – and remember to make it A5 size as postage rates have changed for larger envelopes, and may incur extra postage). We actually weren’t going to bother with directions at all, as it seems a little pointless these days – everyone gets their own directions, or, more hopefully, won’t need them as they are on the coach…..!!!
